PRESURE ROTARY STERILIZER RETORT
The FMC Steritort Rotary Sterilizer is designed to conduct pilot plant studies of processing methods for canned or glassed food products, such as determining the rate of heat penetration and / or cooling rates, for new products, so that they may then be scaled-up for production level operations. The " Universal" model is manufacturer rated to simulate process conditions for both agitated, and non-agitating retort modes of processing; e.g. simulating still retorts, spriral retorts, and/or orbiting sterilizers (e.g. "Orbitorts"). Easily removable, interchangeable reels permit testing of a range of can sizes in one lab sterilizer.
FEATURES:
Quick opening single door.- Heavy "firebox" steel construction, manufacturer tagged, U-stamped and National Board coded for maximum of 45 psi working pressure.
Includes reels for 208 and 211 diameter (112 container capacity), 300 and 303 diameter (94 container capacity), 307 and 401 diameter (70 container capacity). Fourth reel included not specified in mfg literature we have, has 42 steps and just under 4 inches between flights.
- 2HP brake motor with mechanical variable speed drive.
- Some plumbing and valves are with it, controls not included.
- 208 / 230 / 460 volt 3 phase electrical input.
