A CMI Equipment S-shaped open flume washer-cooler, complete with Key Iso-Flo dewatering shaker, and water recirculating pump. This gravity-flow wash and chill flume provides for gentle product handling to prevent bruising and reduce damage, as can be experienced with other closed flume systems, when running food products such as lettuce, cabbage, spinach, spring mix, pepper, onions, carrots plus other fresh cut produce. For quick chilling, washing and/or sterilizing as part of your food processing production line. Food grade all stainless steel construction with all open surfaces, makes for easy cleaning and sanitation. Also versatile, for shredded, choppped, whole leafy greens, sliced, diced, even whole fruits and vegetables. With no moving parts aside from the centrigugal recirculation pump


FLUME FEATURES:

  • 11 inch wide by 50 foot long four (4) pass serpentine flume trough in an S-configuration, presently cleanly separated into two sections for shipping purposes.

  • 64 inch working height.

  • 30 inch wide by 72 inch long tapered infeed.

  • Two (2) sets of six (6) water nozzles located along the trough bottom to propel product forward.

  • Stone / sand trap on final / discharge leg.

  • 10.5 foot wide by 15 foot long overall footprint.

  • All food grade sanitary stainless steel construction.

  • Previously used as a chilling flume fed with chilled plant water, so it came to Alard without water chilling components. As of this writing we have a matching CMI chill tank (Y1572) available in stock. Call 315-589-4511 for more information.

  • Product can be cut directly above the infeed, or another piece of equipment such as a belt or shaker (available separately) can be used to feed the flume, CALL 315-589-4511 to confirm availability, and to tell us how you'd like your pre-cut produce wash, cut and dry laid out.
